The Moza Insights Engine analyzes your transaction patterns to identify anomalies, category drift, and potential savings. The quality of your insights directly depends on how organized your ledger is.
How it works
- Consistent categorization. Assign transactions to the correct categories so Moza can establish a baseline spending pattern.
- Utilize tags. Use tags to track spending across categories (e.g.,
#vacation-2026) without distorting monthly budget limits. - Exclude transfers. Ensure internal transfers between accounts are marked as transfers, preventing them from being counted as spending.
Limitations
- Insights require at least 30 days of transaction history to build a reliable baseline.
- Cash-only spending must be recorded manually to be included in insights.
Common Questions
Why don't I see any insights yet?
Moza needs a history of transactions to recognize patterns. Keep logging your activity, and insights will appear automatically.
How does anomaly detection work?
Moza flags transactions that are significantly higher than your average for that category or occur at unexpected merchants.
