Categories group your transactions so you can track where your money goes. Moza lets you customize category names and colors to make your budget and insights match your personal priorities.
How it works
- Create custom categories. Go to Categories and tap '+' to add a new one. Choose a unique name and color.
- Personalized colors. Assign distinct colors to make your charts and budget bars easily scannable.
- Reassign transactions. If you rename or delete a category, Moza helps you safely move its transactions to a different category so your history stays intact.
Limitations
- Deleted categories cannot be restored; you must recreate them and reassign transactions.
- System categories like 'Transfer' have fixed rules and cannot be renamed.
Common Questions
Can I change a category color later?
Yes, edit the category in the Categories page and pick a new color. The update propagates everywhere instantly.
How many categories can I have?
There is no limit on categories, but keeping them under 20 makes your charts and reports much easier to read.
