Transactions are the single source of truth for your financial activity. The Transactions page is built as a calm timeline of your financial life — not a spreadsheet — and scales smoothly to tens of thousands of entries.
How it works
- Each transaction belongs to one account and (usually) one category.
- Amounts are precise and shown in your workspace currency.
- Find anything fast. Filter by date, type, account, category and tags, and search across everything. Browsing and totals are computed on the server, so the page stays fast even with a long history.
- Three ways in. Add transactions manually, with Quick Input, or by scanning a receipt.
Limitations
- Re-categorizing updates the past. Changing a transaction's category updates budgets and insights retroactively — by design, so your reports always reflect reality.
- Deleting is a soft-delete, which preserves the integrity of your ledger and balances.
Common Questions
Can I split a transaction across categories?
Yes — a single transaction can have multiple splits, each with its own category and amount.
How do transfers work?
Transfers move money between two of your accounts and don't count as income or expense.
