Moza distinguishes between transactions that are planned for the future (Upcoming) and transactions that have already occurred but are not finalized by your bank (Pending). Knowing the difference helps you understand what money is already spent versus what is about to go out.
How it works
Upcoming Transactions
- What they are: Future expectations.
- Example: Your Netflix subscription renewing next week, or rent due on the 1st of next month.
- Ledger Impact: They do not affect your current available bank balance. They are visible on your timeline as planning guides.
Pending Transactions
- What they are: Real money movements that have already happened but are still waiting for final clearance by your financial institution.
- Example: An Amazon purchase today that shows up on your bank login under "Pending authorizations".
- Ledger Impact: They represent actual spending that has already been authorized. In some accounts, they may temporarily affect available balances.
