Understanding Shared Groups · Moza

Learn how Shared Groups allow you to split bills and track expenses with others while keeping your personal finances completely private.

Shared Groups in Moza are dedicated collaborative spaces for tracking shared expenses with roommates, partners, family, or friends. They allow you to maintain a continuous, shared ledger of who paid for what and how balances are split, without ever compromising the privacy of your personal financial accounts.

Common Questions

Does joining a Shared Group link my bank account with other members?

No. Moza maintains absolute privacy. Other group members cannot see your bank accounts, personal transactions, budgets, or net worth.

Can other members view my personal budgets or goals?

No. Your workspace remains entirely private. Only the specific transactions logged inside the Shared Group are visible to other members.

How many Shared Groups can I create?

Free accounts can create and own up to 2 active Shared Groups. Upgrading to Moza Pro unlocks unlimited group creation. Groups you join via invitation do not count toward your active limit.

What is the difference between a Group Admin and a Group Member?

Group Admins can rename the group, customize its avatar/color, invite new members, pause/remove members, and restore or permanently delete archived groups. Group Members can log expenses, view settlements, and manage their own transactions.
