Logging shared expenses is the core of collaborative tracking in Moza. Any active group member can add transactions, specify who funded the purchase, select who participates in the expense, and choose how the cost is split.
Common Questions
Who can edit or delete a shared transaction?
Editing and deleting a shared transaction is strictly restricted to its creator (who entered it) or the payer (who funded it). Group admins do not automatically gain permission to edit other members' entries.
Can we split income or refunds?
Yes. Inside a Shared Group, you can toggle a transaction between Expense and Income. Splitting income (like shared refunds or joint revenue) automatically inverts the balance calculations so that the recipient owes other members their share.
What split methods are supported?
Moza supports Equal Splits (cost split evenly among all selected participants) and Custom Splits (where you can assign specific percentages or custom decimal amounts to each member).
