We store the minimum needed to deliver the features you use, and we never sell your financial data or use it for advertising. This explains what we keep, how AI fits in, and the control you have.
How it works
What we store
- Your account details (name, email, and a password hash — never the plain password).
- The financial data you create (accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, recurring items, subscriptions, attachments).
- Usage metadata such as AI feature counts, to operate plans reliably.
How AI uses your data
Moza's assistant is a narrator, not a raw-database reader. Your data flows through deterministic computations — Analytics → Insights → Decisions → a Context Builder — which packages only the relevant summaries (including your active budget style, category envelopes, and Ready to Assign balance) into a compact envelope. The AI layer explains that envelope and never receives your raw transaction history. Your data is not sold and not used for advertising.
Your control
Most records use soft-deletion to preserve the integrity of your ledger, while stored files are removed to free space. You can delete individual records and whole workspaces yourself.
Limitations
- Self-service full export (CSV/JSON) and complete account deletion are on the roadmap; today they're honored on request via [email protected].
- We avoid claims that would require legal review or certifications.
Common Questions
Do you sell my financial data?
No. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Does the AI see my raw transactions?
No. The AI only sees a redacted summary envelope — relevant insights and decisions — never your raw transaction history.
How do I export or delete my data?
Today, email [email protected] and we'll honor it. You can already delete individual records and whole workspaces; self-service export and account deletion in Settings are on the roadmap.
