Onboarding is a short, conversational setup that runs after you sign up (and a lighter version when you create a new workspace).
It is intentionally not a survey — every question shapes something real: your dashboard layout, the suggestions you see, and how Moza helps you later.
How it works
- Answer a few quick questions — your main goal, who the workspace is for, how you budget, and whether you're moving from another app.
- Get a recommended dashboard — Moza suggests a starting template based on your answers.
- Take a clear first step — import your data, create a goal, add an account, or set a budget.
Templates are suggestions only: you can switch templates or customize cards anytime. You can also skip onboarding and finish it later from a calm banner.
Limitations
- Onboarding is optional, skippable and resumable — it never blocks you from using Moza.
- The recommended template is a starting point, not a lock-in.
Common Questions
Do I have to finish onboarding?
No. It's optional and resumable — skip it and a gentle 'Complete your profile' banner lets you finish later.
Can I change my dashboard later?
Yes. The recommended template is just a starting point — switch templates or drag, resize and hide cards anytime.
I'm coming from YNAB/Monarch/Copilot — what happens?
Onboarding guides you straight into Import so moving your data feels like a natural next step.
